What’s included

The whole business phone system — from one provider.

A business phone system shouldn’t arrive as a box of handsets and a login. PIP supplies the hardware, builds the system, installs it on-site, and supports it afterwards — so the people who set up your phones are the people who answer when you call. Everything below is part of a PIP business phone system installation.

Your system runs on a hosted PBX in PIP’s Sydney Datacentre — hardware PIP owns and operates, not a telco’s shared platform or an overseas cloud. That means call quality PIP controls end to end, call data that stays in Australia, and one accountable provider when something needs attention. It’s a phone system for business built on the same infrastructure PIP uses to run internet and IT for Sydney companies — so your phones, your connection and the rest of your IT can sit under one agreement instead of three separate ones that point fingers when a call drops.

Hosted PBX or on-premises

Cloud-hosted on PIP’s hosted PBX in PIP’s Sydney Datacentre, or on-site hardware — whichever suits your setup.

Yealink IP handsets

Desk phones, DECT cordless and conference units — supplied as an authorised reseller and PIP-configured before delivery.

Extensions & hunt groups

Set up to your structure — departments, reception, direct lines and ring strategies that match how your team actually works.

IVR / auto-attendant

“Press 1 for sales, press 2 for support” — the call menu configured, recorded and managed by PIP.

Voicemail to email

Missed calls captured, transcribed and delivered to the right inbox — read the message instead of dialling in.

Number porting

Keep your existing business numbers — PIP coordinates the port with your current carrier so the numbers are live before the old lines go.

On-site installation & training

PIP installs every handset, tests every extension, and trains your staff before the team leaves — across Greater Sydney and the Central Coast.

Ongoing managed support

Included in a PIP managed IT contract, or available standalone — faults and changes handled by the team that built the system.

PIP’s process

A managed install — not a disruption.

Business owners worry about downtime on cutover day. PIP’s process is built to avoid it — most small business phone system installations go live in a single day, with the numbers ported before the old lines are cut.

01

Site review

PIP assesses your current phone system, call volumes, number inventory, cabling and internet connection — finding what’s there before recommending anything.

02

System design

Extension plan, hunt groups, IVR routing and handset selection are confirmed and documented, and a fixed-price quote is provided — so there are no surprises on installation day and nothing is ordered before you’ve signed off the design.

03

Pre-configuration

Handsets are pre-provisioned at PIP’s workshop before installation day — extensions programmed, display names set, hunt groups built — and the system is configured and tested ahead of cutover so the on-site time is short.

04

Installation day

PIP installs the handsets, connects the system, ports your numbers and trains staff — with minimal disruption to the working day.

The businesses we see most often have been on the same phone system for 10 or 15 years and kept maintaining it because a migration felt like too much risk. Once we’ve done the assessment and they see how straightforward it is — and that their existing numbers come with them — the decision becomes easy.

Moving to NBN

Moving to NBN? Your phone system needs to move too.

The PSTN copper network is being progressively decommissioned, and once your lines are scheduled, a new phone system isn’t optional. PIP supplies the NBN business phone system and the connection it runs on — one migration, one provider, your existing numbers carried across. Plan it ahead of the cutover and you control the timing instead of scrambling against a deadline.

  • Numbers keptExisting business numbers ported and live before the copper is cut.
  • Voice + internetOne NBN connection and one phone system, bundled and billed together.
  • Minimal disruptionConfigured and tested ahead of time, cut over in a single planned window.

Copper retirement affects more than handsets. Monitored alarms, older EFTPOS terminals, fax lines and some building emergency phones often dial out over the same PSTN copper that’s being removed.

PIP’s site review covers all of it — not just the phones — so nothing connected to the old line is forgotten on cutover day.

Who it suits

Scoped to your business — not oversold.

From a two-person office to a multi-site operation, PIP sizes the system to what’s actually useful. A small business phone system shouldn’t carry enterprise cost.

Small offices (2–20 staff)

A straightforward hosted PBX with a handful of extensions, a main number and voicemail — no on-premises hardware to maintain, no full-time IT person needed to keep it running.

Growing businesses

A system that scales as headcount grows — add extensions without buying new on-premises hardware each time, and keep the same numbers and call flow as you expand.

Multi-site operations

One PBX with internal extension dialling between locations, consistent IVR and reporting, managed by PIP across every site so each office isn’t a separate support relationship.

New fit-outs

Phones, cabling, internet and the hosted system from scratch — PIP handles the whole office phone system installation.

Replacing an ageing PBX

Hardware that’s end-of-life, unsupported or too costly to maintain — migrated to a modern system without the disruption.
