Why PIP

One Microsoft partner for the whole catalogue

PIP has been a Microsoft partner for over 30 years — supplying and managing Microsoft products for Sydney businesses since before Microsoft 365 existed. Most providers resell one or two Microsoft products. PIP manages the full stack: Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange, Teams Calling, Entra ID, Windows 365, Windows Server and perpetual Office licensing.

The difference between a licence and a managed service is the difference between buying Microsoft and actually using it correctly. A reseller sends the invoice and moves on — Defender left off, Intune unenrolled, Conditional Access sitting at defaults, an Azure tenant nobody has reviewed since it was created. PIP configures, monitors and maintains what it supplies, and because the whole catalogue sits with one partner there is no gap between products for a problem to fall into.

Whichever part of the Microsoft estate you need, it is below — each service has its own page with the detail, and the same team behind all of them.

Microsoft 365 plans

Which plan, and who decides

Microsoft 365 for business comes in four tiers, all supporting up to 300 users. For most Sydney businesses handling client information the answer is Business Premium — it is the tier that adds Defender, Intune and Entra ID P1, and it is the point at which the licence starts doing security work rather than just running Office.

The tier-by-tier comparison, what each one actually includes, and the cases where Standard is genuinely enough all sit on the Microsoft 365 page. PIP supplies every tier at partner pricing, and the recommendation comes from looking at how your business works — not from a table.

PIP’s Microsoft services

Everything Microsoft, managed by PIP

Each Microsoft service PIP manages has its own page below — covering what it is, what PIP does with it, and why it matters. Every service runs under the same managed Microsoft 365 for business environment: one partner, one tenant, one team that knows your business.

Microsoft 365 Managed Service

PIP manages the Microsoft 365 environment end to end — user provisioning, security configuration, licence management and support. The foundation of every Microsoft 365 for business engagement.

Microsoft 365 managed service

Microsoft 365 Business Premium

Microsoft 365 Business Premium adds Microsoft Defender, Intune and Data Loss Prevention to the Microsoft 365 productivity stack. PIP configures the advanced security features from day one — security posture that protects sensitive information and customer information.

Why Business Premium

Microsoft 365 Setup

PIP sets up Microsoft 365 tenants for Sydney businesses — domain configuration, email migration, desktop and mobile app deployment, Entra ID and security configuration handled end to end with setup instructions for every staff member.

Microsoft 365 setup

Microsoft 365 Migration

PIP migrates businesses to Microsoft 365 from on-premises Exchange, Google Workspace and legacy Office 365 tenants. Planning, execution and DNS cutover — managed as a complete Microsoft 365 migration project.

Microsoft Licensing

PIP supplies the full Microsoft catalogue — Microsoft 365 subscriptions, Office 2024 perpetual licences, Windows Server, SQL Server and volume licensing — all at partner pricing with advice on the right model before anything gets purchased.

Microsoft licensing

Microsoft Teams Calling

PIP manages Microsoft Teams Phone and provides the SIP trunk underneath via Direct Routing. One provider for both sides of the call — lower cost than Microsoft’s native calling plans with no carrier escalation loop.

Teams Calling

Microsoft Exchange

PIP manages Exchange Online for Microsoft 365 clients and supports residual on-premises Exchange Server deployments — including migration to Exchange Online for businesses still running Exchange Server at end of life.

Microsoft Exchange

Microsoft Entra ID

PIP configures Microsoft Entra ID for every Microsoft 365 client — multi factor authentication, Conditional Access, identity protection and access auditing. The identity backbone of Microsoft 365 for business, managed from day one with threat protection built in.

Microsoft Entra ID

Windows 365

Windows 365 delivers a full Windows PC streamed from Microsoft’s cloud to any device. PIP deploys and manages Windows 365 Cloud PCs as an alternative to physical hardware refresh — every Cloud PC managed via Intune.

Windows 365

Microsoft Azure

When workloads belong in public cloud, PIP deploys and manages Microsoft Azure — Azure Virtual Machines, Entra ID and Azure migration. And when PIP’s private cloud is the better answer, we’ll tell you that too.

Microsoft Azure
AI across Microsoft

Copilot, and the AI already sitting in your licence

Microsoft has pushed AI into almost every product PIP manages — Copilot across the Office apps and Teams, Copilot in Azure, and a set of tools most businesses are already paying for and never switched on. Copilot needs Business Standard or Business Premium underneath it, so the licensing decision and the AI decision are the same decision.

PIP configures Copilot properly rather than leaving it enabled and unexplained — which data it can reach, who has access, and what stays inside your tenant. How it works inside Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams is covered on the Microsoft 365 page.

The PIP difference

A purchase order is not a service

PIP is a Microsoft partner managing the complete Microsoft environment for Sydney businesses — from Microsoft 365 licensing and setup through to Exchange, Entra ID, Microsoft Teams Calling, Azure and Windows 365. Businesses that buy Microsoft 365 for business through a portal and configure it themselves leave significant advanced security capability unused.

  • Microsoft 365 for business supplied at partner pricing across all tiers — including Microsoft 365 Business Premium with advanced security and device management
  • Full Microsoft catalogue: Microsoft 365 subscriptions, Office 2024, Windows Server, SQL Server, Azure, Windows 365 — not just the standard subscription tiers
  • Managed service: user onboarding and offboarding, security features management, licence auditing, Entra ID administration, Microsoft Teams configuration and Microsoft Secure Score monitoring
  • Multi factor authentication enforced for every client from day one — threat protection, Conditional Access and identity and access management configured as standard
  • Custom business email at a custom domain, file sharing through SharePoint and OneDrive cloud storage — configured, secured and managed
  • Engage customers with professional business apps — Microsoft Teams, Bookings and Microsoft Forms — set up for how your business actually operates
  • Phone and web support from PIP’s Australian engineering team — anytime phone and web support with a team that knows your Microsoft 365 business environment and your business processes
  • Microsoft 365 migration from Google Workspace, on-premises Exchange or a legacy Office 365 tenant — managed as a project, then managed as a service afterwards

Most businesses that come to PIP from a direct Microsoft purchase or a reseller-only relationship have Microsoft 365 Business Premium licences but no Defender policies active, no Intune enrolment, and Conditional Access set to the defaults Microsoft shipped. The licences are there. The security isn’t. That’s the gap PIP closes.

FAQ

PIP as your Microsoft partner, answered

How long has PIP been a Microsoft partner?

Over 30 years. PIP has been supplying and managing Microsoft products for Sydney businesses since before Microsoft 365 existed — through Office on floppy disks, Small Business Server, hosted Exchange, Office 365 and the rebrand to Microsoft 365. The practical value of that is not the badge, it is that PIP has migrated businesses through every one of those transitions and knows which ones break things.

Can PIP manage our whole Microsoft environment, or just Microsoft 365?

The whole environment. PIP manages Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange, Teams Calling, Entra ID, Windows 365, Windows Server and perpetual Office licensing — each with its own page above. That matters because these products fail at the joins: a Teams Calling fault that is actually an Entra ID conditional access policy, an Azure cost blowout caused by a licensing decision made in Microsoft 365. When one partner holds the whole stack there is no gap between vendors for a problem to fall into, and nobody to point at.

We already buy our Microsoft licences elsewhere — can PIP take them over?

Yes, and it does not require rebuilding anything. Microsoft licensing can be transferred to PIP as your partner of record while your tenant, data and users stay exactly where they are. Businesses usually do this for one of two reasons: the current reseller sends an invoice and nothing else, or the licence count has drifted — paying for leavers, or paying for a tier nobody is using. A licence review is the normal starting point and it frequently pays for itself.

Do we have to move everything to PIP at once?

No. Most businesses start with one thing — often Microsoft 365 management or a migration that has been put off — and add services as existing contracts and renewal dates come up. PIP holds its own infrastructure in a Sydney datacentre, so there is no pressure to align with a third-party carrier’s timetable. What PIP does ask for at the start is a proper look at the environment, because a recommendation made without seeing how a business actually works is a guess.

Your entire Microsoft environment. One partner.

Whether you’re new to Microsoft 365 for business, migrating from Google Workspace, or already on Microsoft 365 and not sure it’s configured correctly — that conversation starts with PIP.
