From today, Genie solutions will now be know as Magentus. If you recall the Citadel Group bought Genie Solutions in late 2021 through its private equity group – Pacific Equity Partners. This equity group also acquired UK based medical software tech company Magentus in 2020 within the same fund – Buyout Fund Vi.

Magentas has been established in the UK for over 30 years proving their Wellbeing Software for radiology and maternity. This software has accounted for around 80 percent of NHS Trusts and Hospitals in the UK and Ireland. After the acquisition by Australian based PEP and adopting Australian software technology in the pathology market, Magentus has significantly grown its market share of the UK pathaology to medical professionals and clinicians.

By combining management and technical ideal, professionals and IP from both Genie Software Solutions and Magentus, the new entity can provide a global presence in Medical Solutions, share ideas and provide a better user experience for all users of this group.

As for Medical Practitioners and Medical Practices utilizing Genie Software, either via PIPs Private Cloud, PIPs Public Cloud though AZURE or Genie On-premise, supported by PIP, you will see no changes. Magentus will keep Genie Software and its helpdesk located in Australia and profive3 the same service it has been supplying for the past 27 years.

Over time, you will fid that the branding of all products, Web Sites and Email contacts will migrate to the new global name.
